Description
Place a point light source at the origin \((0, 0)\) and assume each integer point \((m, n)\) blocks a ray of light from the origin. The image shows the “unblocked” rays from the origin to an integer point \((m, n)\) if we let \(m\) and \(n\) range between \(-50\) and \(50\). “Illuminated” points are plotted; these are pairs \((m, n)\) for which \(m\) and \(n\) have no common divisor greater than \(1\).
